Violating copyright by uploading my books to AI systems equates to theft and requires financial remuneration. While this applies to corporations training their LLMs, it also applies to readers, vendors, solicitors, reviewers, etc. Theft is theft, whether you're stealing clothes from a department store, someone's car, or my intellectual property.

 

Therefore, any upload of my work into AI platforms, when discovered, will be met with legal action. This may cost me readers. It will cost me money. But it won't cost me my principles.

 

For my part, I promise you will never get AI-generated slop from me. I commit to buying from real artists and doing everything in my power to avoid its uses. It's already written in my contracts with designers, PR teams, and the marketing professionals I work with.
